How I can help.....
Many families and individuals struggle today, especially during these challenging times. It is so easy to get off track with the numerous pressures and distractions drawing our attention away from what really fulfills us. I have experience working with families, couples and individuals in a number of different settings. I have 20 years of experience working in the mental health field helping people who have survived the unimaginable.
The root cause of most of our suffering is trauma. At the moment we are experiencing a collective trauma with the pandemic, political unrest, and climate change. I have studied the impacts of systematic oppression throughout my career and education. I have sought out additional trainings to expand my knowledge and understanding of the experiences of people of color, women, LGBTQ, and other marginalized communities. I understand how our culture impacts people in different ways based on their personal demographics. I understand as a white, cis woman it is my role to be an ally for my client's who can listen with an open mind to my client's lived experience and validate the challenges they experience. Good therapy comes from understanding that each person is an individual with their own story. I am eager to hear your story and get to know you.
Trauma causes people to feel overwhelmed and anxious. It impacts sleep, appetite, and motivation. At the moment many people are experiencing the prolonged stress of the pandemic and all of the political mayhem going on. This is an important time to focus inward and give yourself permission to heal the wounds that have been holding you back. You deserve to heal.
I have several treatment options to help people create a balanced, fulfilling life. I will help you stabilize your emotions and behavior utilizing a holistic mind, body and spirit approach so that you have the energy and focus to change your life. Together we will identify solutions to your mental health symptoms with the most holistic, empowering and natural solutions possible.
